What ELink does

Dispatch
Live CAD board

A real-time incident board showing all active calls, categories, assigned units, elapsed times, and risk markers — exactly as dispatchers see it in a real control room.

Triage
Structured clinical pathways

Call handlers follow complaint-specific question sets that guide them from initial contact to a determinant code. The system applies CAT 1–5 automatically as answers are entered.

Resources
Unit & callsign management

Units book on with their callsign, set their status, and are tracked across incidents. CAT 1 calls auto-allocate the nearest available unit and alert all dispatchers.

Logging
Incident timeline & audit log

Every status change, note, dispatch action, and resource update is logged with a timestamp and the acting user — a complete audit trail for every call, searchable after closure.

Access
Role-based accounts

Administrators control who gets access and at what level. Dispatchers, crew, and call handlers each see the interface built for their role — nothing more.

Flags
Operational flags & escalation

Dispatchers can flag incidents for CCD review, HEMS consideration, OTL requests, or tactical officer involvement. Flagged calls are visually distinct on the board.

Incident categorisation — CAT 1 through CAT 5
CAT 1

Immediate

Life-threatening. Auto-allocates the nearest unit. All dispatchers are alerted immediately.

CAT 2

Emergency

Serious, time-critical condition. Requires rapid dispatch and active monitoring.

CAT 3

Urgent

Prompt response required. Not immediately life-threatening but needs timely attention.

CAT 4

Low acuity

Routine tasking. Does not meet criteria for an emergency response at this time.

CAT 5

No response

Expected death or no resuscitation indicated. Appropriate referral pathways followed.
